Shipping Policy
Thank you for shopping at The Design Scribe! We strive to provide a clear and transparent shipping experience. Please review the following information regarding our shipping policies.
Shipping Destinations:
We ship both domestically within the United States and internationally to countries approved by the United States Postal Service (USPS). You can find a list of eligible countries here: USPS Index of Countries and Localities
We also ship to PO Boxes.
Shipping Costs:
Sticker Orders: All sticker orders ship FREE, both domestically and internationally.
Digital Products & Memberships: Digital products and memberships do not incur shipping fees.
Domestic Shipping (US): For most domestic orders (excluding stickers), we utilize USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail. Shipping costs are calculated based on weight and destination. As a rough estimate, shipping within the continental US from our location in Ohio (zip code 43070) can range from $5-$15 for Ground Advantage and $8-$25 for Priority Mail, but this can vary. The exact shipping cost will be displayed at checkout.
International Shipping: For international orders (excluding stickers), we use USPS First Class International or Priority Mail International, depending on the package contents. Costs are calculated based on weight and destination. International shipping can be significantly more expensive than domestic shipping; please be prepared for costs starting around $15 and potentially much higher depending on weight and destination. The specific shipping cost will be calculated at checkout.
Processing Time:
We aim to process orders within 2 to 5 business days on average. If there is a problem with product availability that will cause a longer processing time, we will reach out to you to discuss adjusting your order if necessary. Please note that processing time is separate from shipping time. During peak seasons or holidays, processing times may be longer. You will receive a notification when your order ships.
Estimated Delivery Time:
Domestic (US): Domestic shipments generally take 3 to 5 business days after processing, but this depends on the carrier, recipient location, and unforeseen events.
International: International shipments can take up to 15 business days after processing, but this depends on the carrier, recipient location, and unforeseen events.
Shipping Carriers:
We primarily use the United States Postal Service (USPS) for both domestic and international shipments.
Order Tracking:
Most orders come with tracking. Small items, such as stickers or smaller prints, may be shipped via stamped mail and therefore not include tracking. If your order includes tracking, we will send you a tracking number.
Shipping Restrictions:
We currently do not have any shipping restrictions.
Customs Duties and Taxes (International Orders):
Customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees imposed by their country. These fees are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost. In rare cases, if import fees are higher than our profit on the sale, we may contact you via email to discuss options.
Shipping Issues:
Lost or Damaged Packages: If your package is lost or damaged in transit, please contact us immediately at molly@thedesignscribe.com. Lost or damaged package claims require images of the problem, whether it's proof of damage to the received package or proof from tracking that the package was lost. It is the recipient's responsibility to provide this proof before we can begin processing a return or replacement.
Incorrect Addresses: Please ensure you provide the correct shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.1 If an order needs to be reshipped due to an incorrect address, additional shipping charges2 will apply.
